What are your goals for 2019?

So, I haven’t written anything on this site in about six months. This is actually quite sad, considering the fact that I was really excited when I started this platform. The intention was for me to talk or create awareness about issues that we don’t often hear about in the media space.

I know that the wellness space in South Africa is only starting to get attention now – not a lot of people are prepared to bare their souls and talk about things that they consider “private” or “personal”.  That’s completely understandable. However, I believe that in sharing our stories with one other, we actually realise that we’re not alone in whatever struggles we’re facing. We’re actually more alike than we think. Anyway, that’s really part of the reason why I started this platform  – to connect with others by having authentic conversations.

Somewhere, somehow in 2018 I found myself feeling uninspired and losing the desire to write content that is close to my heart. This really is the reason why I haven’t written in a while, I just got distracted by life and everything else in between (more on that some other time).

Just a few days ago, I was reminded of this site and why I create it in the first place; I still want to have those conversations, I still want to connect with people, I still want to write about things that mean the most to me, conversations that will have a positive impact on other people’s lives.

It became clear to me that I needed to come back to this platform and continue doing what I intended to when I created it. So, my goal this year, really, is to walk in my purpose. That is it. To me, this means being very sensitive to God’s voice, being obedient and going wherever He decides to send me.

I’m all about purpose in 2019, whatever that may look like.
